The corporation is organized exclusively for the purpose
of Theater Arts.
• To foster community
involvement among anyone interested in all areas regarding Theater Arts; to provide a forum for creativity such as: Producing,
Directing, Technical Theater, Stage Management, Stage Craft, Promotion, Play Writing, Costume Design, and all work that embodies
the goal leading toward a community production.
• To provide a mentoring program that will teach and train individuals
who would like to participate in Theater Production.
• To embellish cultural goals already set forth by our town.

Mentor Program
Mission: To provide an environment
for individuals to learn the technical aspects of the theater including but not limited to:
Director Stage Manager Lighting
and Sound Set Design/ Stage Craft Props Master/ Mistress
Program Description: Each
mentor will have a shadow whom they will teach to the best of their ability everything that is entitled in the responsibilities
of their position. Each shadow will follow their mentor for a minimum of two shows. They will work with the mentor till
he/she deems them fit to perform the responsibilities on their own. At which time the shadow will work on their own show and
the mentor will over see them so that if they have any questions they are there to help. Each member of the program must
attend all events regarding their production including but not limited to:
Rehearsals Auditions Production staff
meetings Tech days Set load in and build Strike The show
At the conclusion of the program each of the participants
will answer a questionnaire that is composed but the mentoring committee in order to improve the program for the future participants.
Mentor
Requirements: 1. Must be a member of Somerset Players 2.
Must be interviewed and approved by the mentoring committee 3. Somerset Players Board of Directors
must approve of the mentor to be a part of a production staff *Directors must fulfill the directing requirements of Somerset
Players 4. Must have a technical theater background 5. Must be 21
years of age
Shadow Requirements: 1. Must be a member of Somerset
players 2. Must be interviewed and approved by the mentoring committee and the mentor 3.
Must have a serious interest in technical theater 4. Must be 16 years of age
Donations
The Somerset Players is largely supported by the generous
gifts of our audience and funding organizations. In order to continue creating and to constantly move forward in our creative
process it is necessary to find new and additional sources of funding at all times.
We sincerely appreciate any and
all support to the theatre.
We also hope to have our own home one day soon!
