President's Note

Currently Somerset Players is working on our next production of Breakfast at Tiffany's. This cult classic about the antics of Holly Golightly and Paul Varjak made famous by Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard will open on May 18-20, 2012 at St. Louis De France Hall 56 Buffington Street Swansea, MA 02777.

We are selling raffle calendars to raise the funds for costumes, props, additional lighting, and set pieces. We have 31 prizes to be won begining with the first drawing on May 1, 2012. Calendars are $10.00 each and you will be entered into each days drawing so it is possible you can win multiple prizes!

Our Sponsors include: Fiesta Mexican Restaurant, Subway of Somerset, Subway of Tiverton, Top Nails, Blomin' Barn, Excellent Pizza, Mister Peepers Ice Creamift , China Gourmet, Coles River Family Fun Center, Milk and Honey Cheese Shop, Cupper's Cafe, Pet Lovers, McGovern 's, Li'l Audrey's, Gilbert's Jewelers, Battleship Brewhouse, Pizza Hut of Somerset, Roger's Family Restaurant, AMF Holiday Lanes, Aquidneck Lobster Co., & Lizzie Borden Bed & Breakfast. Personal donations inlcude, home made jewelry by Carrie's Creations & Sue Benevides, Yankee Candle gift basket, wine rack with 4 bottles of wine, concert tickets for the International String Trio sponsored by the Somerset Public Library, and a $50.00 cash prize.

If you are interested in helping Somerset Playes raise the funds needed for this production please email and I will get a calendar to you ASAP either through me or a SP member you know. You may also come pick a calendar up on Sunday's from 1-5 PM at the Somerset Old Town Hall (white building next door to the library) while we rehearse. As always we greatly appreciate any and all help our supporters can provide so we and continue to do what we love and produce shows for the public to enjoy!

Somerset Players is currently looking for donations of vintage early 1960's clothing and accessories for men and women. Including vintage police wear, handcuffs, mens suits, womens dresses, hats (especially black), shoes, jewelry, etc. for Breakfast at Tiffany's
